Summer Fun

Calvin's Baseball team (Angels) won second place in the Lehi City Tournament this week. They just couldn't overcome the mighty Tigers! The first time we played them, Calvin pitched 3 innings and left the game with us ahead 3-1. We were up 12-8 in the final inning and had 2 outs and they came back to win. It was pretty exciting. Calvin will be playing in the state tournament later in July. Calvin's Blaze team finished the season 2-19. Calvin did learn a lot from playing on that team, though, and by the end of the season he was the starting pitcher. He usually played first base when not pitching.

Isaac and Julian attend a Spanish school 3 times a week during the summer. All of the teachers speak Spanish only and the kids are rewarded for using Spanish words. Julian kept asking if he could go to the "Bajio" and they wouldn't let him. He now knows that 'bathroom' in Spanish is 'bano.'

Julian gave the scripture in primary today. At the end he let everyone know he was done by firmly saying, "There!" and marched to his seat. He got a few chuckles.

Anthony spends his Church time begging for food from anyone/everyone sitting around us. He pretty much knows where he needs to go for various items-fruit snacks, tootsie rools, cheerios, crackers, etc. I think people don't beleive we feed him - until they see his round belly.

Isaac is an avid reader. He is reading a lot of the books that I read when I was his age. He recently finished the Chronicles of Narnia and was able to point out all the discrepancies between the movie and the book while viewing 'Prince Caspian.'

Michelle is preparing for the baby by remodeling some bedrooms so Calvin and Isaac can move to make room. Hopefully we can have things completed in the next week or so before company arrives for family reunions the week of the fourth.

When are you going to post pictures of the baby? I can't wait to see her. Her hospital picture was adorable. What did you name her?
